Glossier Clear Lip Gloss

Glossier Clear Lip Gloss

Inside Glossier Clear Gloss - Glossier.com

About Glossier Clear Lip Gloss

This lip gloss is thick, yet deceptively comfortable to wear… as long as you apply a thin layer. It contains conditioning vitamin E in the form of tocopheryl acetate (more susceptible to contamination than traditional tocopherol).

As emollients, it uses hydrogenated polyisobutene (extremely common in potted lip balms) and jojoba oil. Glossier refers to this blend of emollients as Gloss – Lock Technology.

There is a very subtle fragrance to it that will only be irritating to the most sensitive skin and/or nose.

In total, you get .14 fluid ounces/4.2 ml of lip gloss for $14.00 (about $3.33/ml).

This clear lip gloss is surprisingly enjoyable… mostly because I am not a lip gloss person (AT ALL)! And it leaves a perfect healthy pink flush after all of the gloss has worn off… hours later. Thanks to Glossier, I am a partial convert.

Ingredients

Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Octyldodecanol, Polybutene, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Fragrance, Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Red 6 (CI 15850)

Concerns

First and foremost. I am sad to say that the fragrance is not natural or phthalate-free. Personal preference prevails here.

If you are cool with artificial fragrance, then your only two concerns would be:

  1. Allergic Reactions
  2. Irritation (skin, eyes, or lungs)

A quick side note for if you have very sensitive, or very acne-prone skin:
This lip gloss is very thick and could cause some breakouts around your mouth as it spreads during eating.

Glossier Haloscope Dew Effect Highlighter

Glossier Haloscope Dew Effect Highlighter

About Glossier Haloscope Highlighter

Glossier Haloscope dew effect highlighter comes in three colors: Moonstone, Quartz, and Topaz––all of which are flattering on most skin tones. As the names suggest all three shades contain their corresponding gem stones in their ingredients. As with other Glossier products, a little also goes a long way.

This highlighter is a dewy balm, rather than a glittery spotlight, that leaves your skin looking radiant and hydrated with a little bit of a wet look. Your skin will look like you’ve been drinking all of your water and getting 8 hours of sleep every night. It wears extremely well throughout the day and does not disappear either.

For those with oily skin, hakuna matata! It doesn’t overly enhance the look of pores or look like an oil-slick just happened across your cheeks.

Glossier Haloscope dew effect highlighter retails for $22.00 USD, and you get 0.19 ounces/5.5 grams (which comes out to $4.55 per gram).

Glossier Balm Dotcom Universal Skin Salve

About Glossier Balm Dotcom

Glossier Balm Dotcom is nothing revolutionary. It is a petrolatum-based lip balm, highlighter, eye-glosser, and cuticle-softener.

Essentially, it will create a good protective coating over chapped, irritated skin, but use with caution if you know that petrolatum-based products break you out.

Glossier Balm Dotcom retails for $12.00 USD, and you get 0.5 fluid ounces/15 milliliters (which is $1.25 per milliliter).

Glossier Boy Brow

Glossier Boy Brow

[READ TIME: 4 MIN]

What They Have to Say

All brow needs have been considered to create THE brow product: one to thicken, fill in, and groom brows into place. The creamy wax formula is inspired by traditional hair pomade for soft, flexible hold that doesn’t stiffen or flake. Comes in four shades: Blond, Brown, and Black boost brows with an oomph of color, while Clear gives you the same soft, conditioning hold minus the pigment. We’re inspired by healthy, face-framing brows and consider brow grooming the last crucial step to heading out into the world: brush your teeth, brush your brows, and then maybe brush your hair.

Boy Brow Review

Possibly Glossier’s most iconic product. Boy brow debuted in 2014 to help women everywhere achieve full, spikey, Cara Delevingne brows, and it is a brow wax rather than a brow gel –– think flexible, conditioning hold rather than an Albert Einstein worthy hairspray-esque effect.

Granted, the product does not miraculously give you said full Cara Delevingne brows unless you are naturally blessed with them. However, it does bring out the best “un-groomed” version of your natural brows. It is offered in Blond, Brown, Black, and Clear.

The three tinted colors are perfectly neutral (not to warm or too ashy) and layer well if you need that perfect blond-brown or brown-black eyebrow shade.

Needless to say, I have gone through two browns, two blacks, and a blond (yep, I went blond at one point). I thoroughly enjoy it and rank it amongst the top 5 brow pommade/gel/setter type products of all time.

Glossier Cloud Paint Cream Blush

Glossier Cloud Paint Cream Blush

About Glossier Cloud Paint Cream Blush

Glossier Cloud Paints are surprisingly beautiful and pigmented cream blushes that make the perfect healthy flushed hue for most skin tones. A little goes a loooong way.

Puff is a youthful bright pink. Beam is a bright orangey-coral. Dusk is a sun-kissed bronze for up to medium-tan skin tones. Haze is a deep berry that works well for medium and darker skin tones –– it works well for light skin tones if used very sparingly.

Glossier Cloud Paints are a gel-cream formula, and are best applied with fingers (like most of Glossier’s makeup products).

Glossier Cloud Paint Cream Blushes retail for $18.00 USD, and you get 0.33 fluid ounces/10 milliliters (which comes out to $1.80 per milliliter).
