What They Have to Say
A quick-absorbing, medicated dry face oil to clear congested pores, treat and prevent acne, and smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for clearer, smoother skin.
U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil Review
I’ll just start off with I HATE the smell of this face oil. It is obnoxious!! I have never been a big fan of the smell of German Chamomile, but I can handle it in small concentrations because it is wonderful for your skin. Everything from calming sensitive skin to calming acne inflammation to moisturizing dry irritated skin… it’s an overachiever. They just put wayyyyyy to much of it in this formula.
However, that’s the end of the negative things I have to say about this product. I really enjoy everything else about the U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil. It’s not a super heavy oil. It does absorb nicely into the skin after a few seconds of warming in your hands (rub them together well!). It has never irritated my skin and I do notice a reduction in size and redness of any zits/spots/pimples/what-have-you the next morning.
Because this is a BHA (salicylic acid) face oil, I do only use this at night and ALWAYS wash my face the next morning to make sure it is removed. I would like my face oil to help my face not age it… so as best practices go, you should use an SPF for the daytime simply because you are exfoliating your face.
I also don’t use this face oil every night – mostly because of the smell. After having this for several months and barely making a dent in it, I have decided to stop using it – entirely because of the smell. It’s so strong my fiancé doesn’t like to be anywhere near my face either… and he only has one working nostril. Lol
I guess the moral of the story here is that if smells don’t bother you or you like the smell of German Chamomile AND you need help keeping your oily/combo skin moisturized and acne free… then this oil is a GREAT option for you!
I would even say that this is safe for sensitive skin.
