What They Have to Say

The Herbal Conditioner contains a blend of over 10 organic herbs that provide nutrients to the scalp while cleansing. The herbal formula was inspired by one of the world’s oldest holistic healing system known as Ayurveda. It is a 3,000 year old science that uses natural remedies and herbs to heal the body from within.
With that in mind, we have used high-quality Ayurveda herbs such as Bhringaraj, Brahmi, Tulsi, Neem and Amla that promote healthy scalp and hair. Our conditioner has a very rich formula that moisturizes hair without the harmful chemicals. It is paraben-free and sulfate-free.

The Innate Life

About the Herbal Conditioner for Thick to Curly Hair

Well, let’s just start with I love the idea behind this conditioner! There are a lot of fantastic and beneficial herbs in this conditioner that have been used in Ayurveda for centuries.

The Herbal Conditioner also smells delectable! It is scented with lemon, bergamot, and rosemary essential oils. Not to mention rosemary is great for encouraging hair growth! The texture is relatively thick like yogurt. You can see the bits of herbs used, but it isn’t gritty at all thankfully.

Sadly, this isn’t nourishing at all for curly hair. Innate Life most likely formulated this for fine, wavy hair rather than coarse ringlets, coily, or kinky hair types. If you fall into any of the three types (or a combo of), this will leave your hair matted and tangled.

The first time I tried this on its own, I applied it generously throughout my hair and started attempting to detangle it as I normally do. I didn’t even make it through a strand of hair before I caught a knot and realized that if I tried to detangle my hair without adding in another conditioner, I was going to be bald before I turned off the shower.

Needless to say, this one was a major fail. This is a conditioner for all of you beauties with lustrous thick very straight hair. Everyone else, approach with caution. The herbs in this may be beneficial when mixed with a thicker conditioner for that much-needed moisturization.

I still use this regularly mixed with the Shea Moisture Damage Rehab Conditioner as I love the smell and the herbs really make my scalp feel fantastic.
